Our Mission
To enhance the well-being of America’s veterans, their families, our military, and our communities by our devotion to mutual helpfulness. The American Legion’s vision statement is “The American Legion: Veterans Strengthening America.” The American Legion’s value principles are as follows:
A VETERAN IS A VETERAN – which means The American Legion embraces all current and former members of the military and endeavors to help them transition into their communities.
SELFLESS SERVICE – which means The American Legion celebrates all who contribute to something larger than themselves and inspires others to serve and strengthen America.
AMERICAN VALUES AND PATRIOTISM – which means The American Legion advocates for upholding and defending the United States Constitution, equal justice and opportunity for everyone and discrimination against no one, youth education, responsible citizenship and honoring military service by observing and participating in memorial events.
FAMILY AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT – which means The American Legion meets the unique needs of local communities.
ADVANCING THE VISION – which means The American Legion educates, mentors and leads new generations of Americans.
HONOR THOSE WHO CAME BEFORE US – which means The American Legion pays perpetual respect for all past military sacrifices to ensure they are never forgotten by new generations.

Membership Matters
Your membership supports our brave young men and women on active duty is paramount. Supporting our courageous young men and women in active duty is of utmost importance. As more veterans return some may require immediate assistance, while others may need help in the future.
The American Legion stands as the nation’s most influential, efficient, and reliable advocate for veteran affairs. Your involvement with the Legion will bolster our efforts to achieve better pay for active-duty personnel, improved housing for their families, and the assurance that the VA’s medical system can provide adequate care for those returning home with illnesses and injuries.

If you have served at least one day of active military duty since December 7, 1941 and were honorably discharged or you are still serving active military duty honorably, you are eligible for membership with The American Legion.

Our Unit is thrilled to be associated with Post #200. It is our privilege to represent this the Auxiliary in our community and with-in our Post. Every American. Every business. Every profession. Every school. Every community. Every state. All of us, as one American team. That’s how we will truly honor our veterans and say thank you. We will uphold the sacred trust with all who’ve served in our name.
Thrilled you are considering membership in our SAL Squadron. As a member of the Sons of the American Legion, you’ll have the chance to engage in various activities and initiatives that reflect our core values. From assisting veterans in accessing essential resources to organizing fundraising events and volunteering in local veterans’ facilities, there are numerous opportunities for you to make a difference.
Our Chapter is comprised of active members of the American Legion Family including Legionnaires, members of the American Legion Auxiliary and members of the Sons of the American Legion. Chapter 200 participates in local parades, fundraising rides as well as supporting our annual Memorial ride. We hold monthly Chapter Rides, are actively involved with the ALR Chapters throughout the region and statewide. Generally, ride in support of all of the programs of the American Legion.
